On July 21, 2025, Ironmouse, a founding member of VShojo and the world’s most-subscribed female Twitch streamer, announced her immediate departure from the San Francisco-based VTuber agency in an emotional YouTube video, citing unpaid personal earnings and over $515,000 in charity funds allegedly withheld from the Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF).
The Puerto Rican-American VTuber, who has common variable immunodeficiency (CVID), accused VShojo of financial mismanagement and misleading her for months. “The Immune Deficiency Foundation, the most important charity to me, is owed over half a million dollars from VShojo,” she stated, referencing her 2024 subathon that raised $515,000, which remains unpaid a year later.
Ironmouse, who with Connor “CDawgVA” Colquhoun raised over $4 million for IDF through Tiltify, expressed heartbreak over the betrayal, as the charity supported her during her health struggles.
Ironmouse also alleged VShojo guilt-tripped her, claiming her exit would harm other talents, adding emotional pressure to her decision. She is now an independent VTuber, retaining her IP rights, and plans a special charity livestream in July 2025 to support IDF, with all ad revenue from her announcement video donated to the cause. As of July 22, 2025, her new Tiltify campaign has raised over $320,000.
The VTuber community rallied behind her, with support from CDawgVA, Dokibird (who donated $10,000), Zentreya, GEEGA, Matara Kan, Shylily, and others. Kson, a VShojo Japan member, quit live on stream, citing unpaid residuals since September 2024, while Kuro Kurenai and others like Michi Mochievee and AmaLee removed VShojo branding from their social media, hinting at further exits.
Allegations of misconduct deepened the crisis. Kaho Shibuya and YouTuber Mujin claimed a VShojo employee leaked talents’ personal information, including photos and marital statuses, possibly for profit. Posts on X speculated VShojo’s financial troubles, with some alleging talents were unpaid since September 2024 and a 0/100 revenue split shifted to 60/40. VShojo, which raised $11 million in 2022, has not responded publicly, fueling fan outrage and calls for transparency.
Ironmouse’s exit follows 2025 departures by Matara Kan, GEEGA, and Zentreya, raising concerns about the agency’s stability. Her 2024 subathon record of 310,000 subscribers and awards like the 2023 Streamer Awards’ Best VTuber underscore her influence, making this a pivotal moment for VShojo and the VTuber industry.
